ESL Classes

January 6, 7:00 pm - June 30 - 8:30 pm 2023

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered to help non–native speakers communicate in English through the development of listening and observing, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Classroom experiences range from a beginner level, where the focus is on improving listening comprehension, vocabulary development, and English structure, and more advanced classes, including writing, composition, and oral presentation.
Students will engage in activities and exercises that act as building blocks during an ESL class. Step by step, non-English speakers learn to apply the skills learned in previous courses to the challenges in each new session. Understanding a language and becoming proficient is essential to living successfully in a culture. As students develop the language, they are encouraged to use it daily.

In addition to ESL, Life 4 Refugees offers classes to prepare individuals for the United States Citizenship exam.

CLASS SCHEDULE: Fridays at 7:00 pm
